my name is brandynnleigh and i am eighteen years old attending my first year at the Alberta College of Art and Design. I hope to be a photo journalist one day specifically for bands and tours but i am open to practically everything. ihello everyone!

i finally have my laptop all running and what not but i have been trying to move all my files back on here, so maybe in a little while there will be floods of photos from when i went to my mother's over the christmas break. school has been keeping me more busy than ever and honestly i've been so consumed with this work that i've been finding it hard to take photos. Recently i did take my camera with me when i ventured down town and hopefully i will have some of those posted up on my facebook really soon.

but at least next week i'll be going to a Simple Plan, All Time Low, Marianas Trench and These Kids Wear Crowns concert. I'm really excited for it because it will be my second time seeing Simple Plan (the band that got me through a horrible elementry/middle school), second time seeing All Time Low (band that made my final years in junior high liveable), and third time seeing Marianas Trench (their album fix me just got me through everything period) so it is sort of an important concert for me that all of the three bands that sort of saved my life are going to be in one place at a time. All they would need to add is Good Charlotte and its like "oh hey, brandy we did this on purpose for you." But yeah, and then in a month i am going to see The Pretty Reckless. I'm planning on calling the venue really soon to see if i could get some press passes and take in my dslr camera without sneeking it in.  I just need to find a good day. Maybe on Friday i will call them, its something i need to do soon since it is such a small venue but i am really excited because Taylor Momsen is a huge inspiration to me. Sigh.

Tomorrow is the exact day fifth year that i'll be without my father. It's really strange to think about especially since now i am supposed to be grown up and an adult. I think about him everyday. I just hope that i am doing something to make him proud in my life. But i am sure those who have stuck around my photography for so long have gotten that rant and read it enough to know what that's all about. I guess this is just me saying rest in peace Michael Pope, one of the most artistic and beautiful minds to walk on this planet. I hope i can be half the person you were.

But to everyone else, if you haven't already check out my facebook page, like it if you want and don't be afraid to check out my website although it is currently under construction and will be for a little bit longer.
